Tonight on Fabulous Fashion: ACS Makeovers & 31 Days of Pink!

Fabulous Fashion with Angie Mornington

Monday at 6pm SLT doors open at 5:30pm SLT

****Special Edition: Celebrating Cancer Survivors in SL****

ACS Cue 2a Before Shot

ACS Cue 2B After Makeover

This week on a very special edition of Fabulous Fashion,  I will have the pleasure of talking to some people who are doing some fantastic things in SL for Cancer awareness.

First up we have The American Cancer Society Makeover program, an inworld program helping residents in Second Life with virtual makeovers.

“Makeover Magic” is the Second Life equivalent of a real life program,  “Look Good…Feel Better” – a free, community-based service in the USA that helps cancer survivors to restore their appearance and self-image during treatment.

Tonight please help me welcome Cinders Vale, Coordinator of the ACS Makeover Program as well as makeover participants Les Karsin and Dwen Dooley.  They will share their experiences as cancer survivors in SL, and we will have some special models on hand to show us their makeovers as well.

Segment 3 Cue 1 FashionCracked.com Logo
For a special Accessories Segment, we’ll have two bloggers who are also showing their support for Breast Cancer awareness.  Emery Milneaux and Sterling Jaxxon will be on hand to talk about the “31 days of Pink” Campaign, currently going on at the FashionCracked.com blog.  Sterling is a breast cancer survivor, and the two of them have joined forces with several bloggers at FashionCracked.com to bring some pink and stylish awareness to the grid.  Make sure you tune in, Emery and Sterling are bringing 5 models with them to show off some of the coolest pink themed outfits and accessories.

Please join our live audience this Monday at 6pm SLT at the Fabulous Fashion studio!   Doors open at 5:30pm PDT.

Fabulous Fashion with Angie Mornington is a Perfect World Production, broadcast on Treet TV.

Fabulous Fashion Finds Apple May Tempting

Each week, Fabulous Fashion draws an audience from many different walks of life, but naturally, the fashion world provides many of its viewers.  You may think that the people who spend their career in fashion know all there is to know about every designer in Second Life, but that’s certainly not the case.  There is such a wealth of creative energy continually producing new items and labels that it’s a constant effort to try to keep up.  Fabulous Fashion is one of the tools available to fashion professionals that help them do this.

( Rusch Raymaker and Jesika Contepomi )

Stopping by to check out this weeks show were AVENUE’s CEO, Rusch Raymaker and VP of Marketing, Jesika Contepomi.  Jesika is often in the audience, but due to time zone issues, Rusch isn’t able to make it often.  I took this opportunity to get her views on the show, “This is my second time seeing it.  I should watch the telly program.  I like the program, it’s entertaining and really gives a nice insight into the fashion designers perspectives and the styling tips make it fun.”  Like most corporate executives, time to do all you want is an issue.  Hopefully, Rusch will find it possible to enjoy the show more often instead of letting Jesika have all the fun.

( Chamonix Boudreaux and CheerCoach4EJS Gymnast )

Who’s more fashion conscience and hungry for new styles than models?  Probably no one and that’s why a number of models can always be found in the audience each week.  Seen above are Chamonix Boudreaux and CheerCoach4EJS Gymnast, two very active and accomplished models.  Many models love the style segment of the show for help in finding those much needed accessories.  Angie gets some of the best Stylists in SL for this show and it’s appreciated as Chamonix’s comments indicate, “Vixie is very well spoken, she did a terrific job.  One of the best speakers I have seen in SL, she was intelligent, informative, and you can tell she is very refined in real life.”

Models may already know the products of the featured designer on the show, but love to get some insight on the person behind them or to just show their support.  Cheer was on hand to see Apple May, “This is my fav SL designer.  Ive been shopping in her store since she first stated making clothes.  I wore my Apple May stuff… even the new skin she just made.  I love her stuff.”  Fabulous Fashion is wonderful resource for everyone in the fashion industry, so if you can’t make it to the live taping, be sure to catch it on Treet TV.
