Watch This Week’s Fabulous Fashion! Donna Flora and Grazia Horwitz

For our last show of 2009, I had the pleasure of interviewing Designer Squinternet Larnia of Donna Flora.  This was the first time that I had an interpreter for a designer, Squinternet is Italian and the lovely Grazia Horwitz agreed to do double duty as both interpreter and Guest Stylist.  It’s always interesting to meet designers the night of the taping, and although there was a language barrier between us, I could tell that Squinternet has a lively & humorous personality and is enjoying what she does in SL.  Her creative inspiration comes largely from real life vintage designs as well as the women in her family like her aunt and grandmother.  The fashion they wore during their adventures decades ago are now preserved virtually, and well, I think that’s just downright cool.  Grazie Squinternet! Grazie Grazia!

This week I present another special holiday edition featuring Winterstock.  I interviewed Winterstock creator Ewan Mureaux and Designer of This is a Fawn OMGWTF Barbecue.  They were both fantastic and shared their Winterstock experience with the audience.  Ewan’s Scottish accent made him an instant stud and he received a ton of fangirl adoration from the audience.  Keep an eye out for his Vlogs on youtube, I predict he will make all the Hot Male Avatar lists next year.  And I swear almost every single person on my Plurk timeline came to the show, I think we broke a record for having the most fashionable smartasses in one spot on the grid.  Katey Coppola and Suti Capalini of Glitterati poses were my special Guest Stylists this week, they were both fabulous and make a hilarious team, make sure you stop by the studio to check out the Accessories display.  Also a big thanks to the models for braving the lag. Fabulous Fans Welcome Second Style

Although the typical format of Fabulous Fashion features a designer for the interview segment, Angie keeps the show fresh by including other aspects of the Second Life fashion industry.  This past week, she introduced Felicity Blumenthal and HeatherDawn Cohen of Second Style Magazine to the studio audience.  Although many of the fans of the show love to hear the interviews with their favorite designers, it seem apparent that they also welcome the opportunity for a peek behind the scenes of other fashion related businesses as well.

It seems that every night there are new faces in the audience and it’s intersting to hear how they found the show and what they think of it.  This night, Lalita Graves joined the ranks of fans of Fabulous Fashion.  “It’s the first time I’ve attended and am finding it very informative.  I’m looking forward to visiting the featured stores.  I was actually searching to see what events were on now and discovered it.  It does feel like a real TV show!  Pass along my congrats for a great concept and show.”

Also returning to the studio was GoSpeed Racer, a fan of other past productions.  She remembered seeing Angie prior to her position as host of Fabulous Fashion.  “Last fall I used to come here a lot.  I am friends with Daphne Abernathy and used to watch her do her thing on the show.  I’m here tonight to support Gidge and Gabby (models on tonight’s show).  I remember [Angie] from her days on Paisley’s shows.  She definitely sounds more confidant in her interviews now.”
