Fabulous Fashion Update from Angie Mornington

Due to RL health issues I have decided to cut back on my full time responsibility of hosting Fabulous Fashion.  I want to thank the PWP staff who have been so understanding and fully supportive of me in the last few months. I also want to thank those of you who sent me notes inworld I really appreciate your well wishes.

I will still be on as Producer and will be working behind the scenes with the Perfect World Productions team to bring you future episodes of Fabulous Fashion,  we have plans to make the show more exciting than ever!

Thank you all for your support and viewership. We have always been dedicated to bringing you the best in high quality virtual television and we will continue to do so.

Dressing for Success!!!

Angie Mornington means business!!  You won’t want to miss the live taping of her show August 23rd, 6 PM at the Northpoint Studios when she goes through business wear in SL, and the different kinds of looks you can achieve.  This show will discuss the what, when, where, why and how of fashion for the corporate interest.  More and more people are coming into Second Life for the purpose of work.  Just like in RL, appearance is everything!

Now anyone can achieve a great look for their meetings  and presentations by simply following Angie’s tips.  We all know Angie has great style, so come on down and join with her and some of the best designers in SL as they share their fashion interpretation of  BUSINESS in the virtual world.  You won’t regret it … and hey .. even if you don’t do business in SL per se … even if you are just a shopper… a housewife… a fairy….a gorean slave girl….a kitty….a dragon…. a teeny little thing…..a robot…..or “belong to Denzo”.. .. with these hot tips for how to dress for success,  you can do all you do and finally get the respect you deserve!! ( cause no-one argues with the “suit.”)

The Perfect Buzz – July 26, 2010 Fabulous Fashion

If you thought Fabulous Fashion is only for the tender gender, then think again. The July 26, 2010 Fabulous Fashion, with hostess Angie Mornington, featured an exclusive look at men’s fashions . The featured guest was none other than the charming, and very Irish Designer, Rob1977 Moonites, himself. Rob describes his clothing line as a mix of casual, preppy and semi-formal. While the manly men love his stuff to death, it’s not unusual that a blushing maid might be inclined to slip into a little Rob wear, now and again. Yours truly confesses to mustering inspiration for this column by sporting the rich, deep blue pullover, crisp white shirt, red tie and red cargo pants that were just a sampling of the generous gift that Rob left behind at the studio and which is available for a short time longer. As I pulled hair, wracked my feeble brain and shed a tear or two in the process of forcing the muse to unholy congress, I can attest to the fact the Rob’s attractive, but sturdy line, held up to all of my abuse.

Camilla Hambleton

Audience member Camilla Hambleton was very impressed with Rob’s designs and the fact that he taught himself Photoshop in order to create his fabulous couture. She remarked that his perseverance paid off with a very successful line of men’s wear. Camilla had this to say about Rob’s success , “Rob must have had a lot of patience, kudos to him he is quite the role-model to many aspiring designers, especially male designers”.

Second Life furniture, garden, home and decor is a dynamic and ever growing industry that I am truly entusiastic and passionate about. I have tried to keep up to date with product releases and all the incredible changes within this field, but I found myself juggling over 20 groups and quite simply, failing to succeed.

I was motivated to create a group named SL House & Garden. My ambition was for this group to be used as a resource tool for anyone who has a vested interest in this awesome industry.

Bloggers and shoppers alike, can be informed about latest released, updates, sale notices and great gifts from our favourite Home, Decor and Garden designers in SL.

Shop owners, designers and creators (textures, building components and builder’s aids are more than welcome as well) can join the group to boost sales and to communicate your products and creations to the enthusiasts and GET NOTICED, there is no cost at all involved!

•★• ABOUT THE SL HOUSE & GARDEN CENRE •★•

I created this special location for group members and other guests as a place to come and relax, blog, build their creations, build sets and to generally be a helpful tool for bloggers.

There is a warm and inviting cafe where you are welcome to socialise with other enthusiasts or simply enjoy some ‘down time’. A resource room which is the perfect spot to sit down and relax while you blog.  There is also ample space for you to build your sets either for your blogs or if you are constructing but run out of room.

Please treat this place as you would your home… please please be respectful of other visitors and clean up after yourself. I will clean the land every 48 hours just to make sure there is room for the next bunch of  visitors. There is over 800 prims to play with and you can also edit terrain, but please try and put it back as best you can.

You will need to wear your group tag to build, other than that, the land is open to everyone. So if you want to build you are going to have to join the group. There is a group joiner at the landing point.

This Week’s Fabulous Gifts: FIR and House and Garden of SL!

This week Fabulous Fashion was more like a party than a Television Show… thanks mainly to the big infusion of fun from Second Life’s Rob1977 Moonites and the amazing Jennaa Loire who returned this week as Guest Stylist to introduce a whole new segment focused completely on home fashion and decor.  Make sure you head to the studio and check out the eight landmarks left for you by some of the most stunning home decor stores in SL. What else did you miss?? Colleen Desmoulins of  The Loft, gave away 3 of her incredible kitchen sets to studio audience members …. wow … thank-you Colleen!!

But for right now …. the FREE gift from FIR!!  It was a show all about men and men’s fashion for once and wow we had some great looking models and studio audience members. Make sure you check out Fabulous Fashion Flickr Pages (and add YOUR pics from the show we would love to see them)  Also a returning feature on this website – the Fabulous Fans - which is going to be a page where there will be all kinds of pics and snippets about the people who attend the show and what they have to say.

I have to tell you that we went to great lengths to get these pics … we wandered into dark scary places, were attacked by a marauding gang and finally had to rely on the magic that is Jennaa Loire – who managed to pull an entire schoolroom and desks and poses out of her butt at the last minute .. .. you have to love gifted people like that .. and I don’t even care that she can’t count to 3!!

“Fabulous Fashion” Sports New Show Opening

Renowned Machinima Filmmaker, Rysan Fall, Creates New Show Opening for “Fabulous Fashion!”

The producers at Perfect World Productions and acclaimed machinima filmmaker Rysan Fall, have teamed up to produce a hot new show opening for “Fabulous Fashion with Angie Mornington,” the number one fashion program in Second Life.

Rysan commented on the project saying, “Since we were dealing with high fashion, I kinda wanted to make the intro clean and sleek looking. Having a simple arrangement of pictures with a fresh and uncluttered design to compliment their logo for the show. I was honored when I was approached by both Angie and Paisley to have me do this for them. It was a great experience and I am looking forward to working on more projects with them.”

An accomplished filmmaker and founder of Fall Films, Rysan Fall is in high demand.  When he is not busy co-anchoring Second Life Enquired News with Persia Bravin, Rysan channels his creative energy toward producing some of the most talked about music videos in SL.  Some of his projects include: the highly viewed music video for the cover band, U2inSL which was selected to play at the real life band’s performance at the Glastonbury Festival in the United Kingdom and was broadcasted on the BBC, his moving tribute video to Billy Holiday’s “Strange Fruit” and Craig Lyons’ “Across the Universe” cover.  Rysan is virtually on the move!

Note, this is not the last that you will be hearing of this match made in heaven.  Mr. Fall has been commissioned to create a brand spankin’ new show open for the Queen of primetime talk, Paisley Beebe, hostess of “Tonight Live with Paisley Beebe.” So stay tuned!
